Mexican & Kiwi classics
Succulent steaks and seafood rubbing shoulders with Mexican and Kiwi classics form a menu that boasts an eclectic offering for everyone, right down to the cocktails.
“With Mavericks, we’ve made sure the fun on our doorstep follows people indoors,” says sales and marketing manager Louisa Redward.
“You’ll see it in the smaller details, too, like the quirky shaped plates or the cheeky cocktail names. This is a place to come and enjoy good food and service, to grab a drink at the bar, catch up with your mates. You know you’re going to be extremely well looked after!”
Owner Jamie Keehan brings a taste of hospitality from his time living in the United States, evident in the attentive service Mavericks diners enjoy.
The ambience and décor enhance the Americana feel, with comfy booth seating, neon lights, grand floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace façade – and of course, the replica WWII US Navy spotter plane suspended from the ceiling.

The Hard Deck Garden Bar at Mavericks is your go-to destination to enjoy an ice-cold beer or glass of refreshing rosé as you take in the stunning views across the lake by day, or the entrancing lights of Swingers Putt Putt by night.
