Want More ‘Spring’ in Your Step?

We can show you how to implement five simple, yet effective, principles into your day-to-day life that will provide you with greater energy, balance and focus – so you can feel restored and renewed.

1. Practice relaxation

Slowing down is key – learn to take your time when you eat. Breathe deeply, as more oxygen means more calorie burning power, more effective digestion and greater nutrient uptake.

2. Quality of food

The 80 / 20 rule is great to live by and takes the pressure off trying to be perfect – 80% health-enhancing food, and 20% for all the other choices. You can use it per plate, per day or per week.

3. Become ‘aware’

Choose to be present when you eat. Take the time to notice colours, smells, textures and the environment you are eating in – where is your focus? Engage your mind and use the power of its awareness to get the most out of your food.

4. Follow a rhythm

Eat regularly; learn how to balance your protein, carbohydrates, fats and water intake. Plan your meals. Find the rhythm that works for you – experiment with all types of food!

5. Take pleasure from food

Write a list of health-enhancing food that you get pleasure from, and a list of ‘forbidden’ foods that you get pleasure from – this is the information you use for your food plan, keeping in mind the 80 / 20 rule.
