Whiskey Sour

Whiskey Sour
  • Serves: Makes 1 Glass
  • Ingredients
      • What you’ll need:
      • 60 ml bourbon whiskey
      • 25 ml lemon juice
      • 15ml sugar syrup (½ cup sugar, ½ cup water, heat in a pot till sugar dissolves then pour through a strainer)
      • 15ml egg white
      • Chilled cocktail glass – try popping one in the freezer 15 minutes beforehand
      • Handful of ice
      • Squeeze of lemon
      • Orange slice to garnish

We’re firm fans of the classics – those that stand the test of time – like the whiskey sour.

Here’s our take on this legend, which also goes by the name of Boston Sour, New York Sour, Baltimore Bang and Pedros Revolver.

How to:

In a shaker place all ingredients and shake it up – really go to town on this, the egg whites will thank you.

Strain into your chilled glass, adorn with your orange peel and a gentle squeeze of lemon.

Now that’s what we’re talking about!

Tis the silly season, so kick back and enjoy a cocktail (or two) but do drink responsibly – no one wants a cocktail of misery this Christmas. So, from our team to you, have fun, get creative but remember to plan ahead and consume safely this summer.
