Not everything about COVID-19 is bad. If it weren’t for the pandemic, Twentee Supply Co. wouldn’t be here, and the team at Twentee think that would make the world a terrible place. The owners of ninetyblack came up with ‘Twentee’ to seek new revenue streams when their publishing division – which was tourism dependent – took a hit in 2020. Border closures saw cashflow come to a grinding halt, so it was time to think fast. Redeploying skills and resources from their design and web team, they took the leap and Twentee Supply Co. was born. But the road to launch was not an easy one with COVID continuing to play a hand with huge shipping delays and interruption in the supply chain. “It’s been a hell of a challenge” says Jo Lee, General Manager “but we’ve never shied from a challenge. We focused on NZ supply for reliability and NZ-based support for the likes of machinery breakdowns, and we’ve met some amazing people running great businesses right here in New Zealand”.
So, what is Twentee?
They are the printed apparel people, in the business of making you look good in branded work and sportswear by combining quality gear with quality print and embroidery. Their services span uniforms, team wear, merchandise and client/ corporate gifts.
“At Twentee we’re all about the customer experience and saving time for the business owner. I come to you, organise samples, work out your pricing, and help make that decision making process as easy as possible – I’ll even drop the order off!” – Anne, Account Manager.
Winter is coming

Anne recommends, “don’t necessarily get pinned down by budget, focus on practicality and warmth. Sometimes with the lower cost items, you end up spending more in the end because of your replacement costs, and we’ve got some really good quality brands you can rely on to stand the test of time – so consider how long you expect an item to last”
And there are some ever-popular items that businesses seem to need every winter: branded umbrellas, puffer jackets, beanies, fleece, merino, hoodies and hi-vis. Branded face masks have for good reason, been another hit. Don’t worry about having to hit a minimum order number either – just talk to the team about their on-demand service.
Sports teams
Twentee Supply Co. do a lot of team wear for sports clubs. Their access to a variety of print finishings means they’re able to really tailor to your specific demands – from the players strip with logos, names, and numbers – through to pre- and post-match attire. This could include jackets, hoodies and beanies to keep the team warm on the side-line, extending to smart branded shirts and blazers for teams that travel and need to represent their team, club or district at a more professional level.
